IPL Auction 2011
Auction of Cricket Players for IPL 2011 – IPL 4 will take place in the first week of January 2011, for all the teams as three year contract with players had expired in May, 2010. IPL is reviewing suggestions from the franchise about keeping some players off the auction so that they can have private deal with them rather putting them in the auction.
Although auctions are not new for IPL Franchises who have earlier also took part in the same. But this would be new opportunity to correct the earlier mistakes done in auction and selection earlier.
Sahara Pune Warriors and IPL Kochi will take part in this auction first time. Both the new franchise, successfully won the bids for the upcoming new IPL Franchise.
MS Dhoni was the highest earner in the last three season after being purchased by CSK at over 60 Million Rs.
